A team of Bolangir police on Friday took the accused Gobinda Sahu, who was arrested in connection with the Mamita Meher murder case , to the crime spot- the Mahaling stadium- to recreate the incident.
Taking into account the law and order situation, police reportedly took Sahu to the stadium in the wee hours today where the prime accused gave the demonstration on how he killed the lady teacher of Sunshine Model School, Mahaling in Kalahandi.
Sahu reportedly gave the demonstration at the crime spot, from where the body of Mamita Meher was exhumed on October 19 , for around 10-15 minutes.

While the cops are yet to recover the mobile phone of the victim, police sources informed that the accused Sahu has torched most of the evidence, including Mamita’s mobile phone.
Earlier, Sahu was nabbed from a sugarcane field on Tuesday hours after he allegedly staged a dramatic escape from the police barracks at Titlagarh where he was taken for questioning in connection with the disappearance of the lady teacher on Sunday.
During questioning Sahu allegedly told the police that he killed Mamita inside his car. Later, Balangir police also arrested Sahu's associate Radheshyam Chandi alias Radhe and produced him before the Bangomunda SDJM court.
