Lady teacher attempts to kill self after failing to avail CL

A lady teacher of Panchupalli Somnath High School at Balugaon allegedly attempted suicide by consuming mosquito repellent liquid after she failed to avail casual leave (CL), on Tuesday.

According to sources, the English teacher Santoshi Behera took the extreme step after being allegedly tortured by the headmaster of the school.  As the headmaster did not allow her to take casual leave, Santoshi decided to end her life.

After she consumed the liquid, she lost consciousness. She was rushed to Balugaon hospital by fellow teachers and again she was shifted to Bhubaneswar after her condition deteriorated. 

However, police and the English teacher’s family members were found unavailable for comments in this regard.
