Asst prof 'raped' in Bhubaneswar, complaint filed at Khandagiri PS

A lady assistant professor of a private educational institute has alleged rape and blackmailing in Bhubaneswar.

The assistant professor, who is a resident of Chhattisgarh, had initially filed a complaint at Karib Nagar area alleging that she was sexually assaulted and blackmailed by the accused.

Later, the case was transferred to Khandagiri police station in Bhubaneswar where an investigation has already been initiated into the incident.

As per reports, the survivor had developed some closeness with the accused, who happens to be a B.Tech passout from Chhattisgarh.

It is alleged that the accused raped the assistant professor after spiking her drink. The accused allegedly had recorded the act and started to blackmail the survivor.

The accused had threatened to upload the video if the lady assistant professor didn’t paid money to him.

Following the incident, the survivor had quit her job and left for Chhattisgarh. After the accused started to harass her on the basis of the videos, she subsequently sought help of police and registered a case.
