Shiv Prasad, 19, has reportedly killed five people including four security guards in their sleep. He was inspired by Yash-starrer KGF and wanted to become famous, sources said. Police on Friday morning arrested him from Madhya Pradesh. He was arrested after police tracked down a mobile phone he had stolen from one of the persons he had killed.

Recently, a video of him killing a person has gone viral after the heinous act was caught in a CCTV camera. In the video, we can see the serial killer, bashing the head of the victim with a stone.

After his arrest, Prasad has confessed to his crimes and further claimed that his next targets were policemen. According to police, he has already killed four security guards. His only aim was to become famous.

The killings, which appeared to follow a pattern, sparked fears of a "stoneman" as Prasad only killed his victims at night. His killing spree began in Sagar, 169km from Bhopal.

"It was a blind murder. The police chased him down as he was carrying the mobile phone of one of his victims. Based on the phone's location he was caught in Bhopal," said state Home Minister Narottam Mishra.

Worth mentioning, KGF is a blockbuster 2018 Indian Kannada period action film. It was written and directed by Prashant Neel with Kannada superstar Yash appearing as Rocky Bhai in the first two installments in the series.

The film focuses on Rocky, a high-ranking assassin in Mumbai, who was born into poverty. In a bid to take over Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), he disguises himself as a slave-laborer and assassinates Garuda, the future heir of KGF.
