Kendrapara ACSO arrested by Vigilance after over Rs 2 crore deposits, gold and plots detected

The Vigilance department officials on Saturday arrested Pradeep Kumar Mohapatra, Additional Civil Supplies Officer (ACSO), Kendrapara in a disproportionate assets (DA) case.

Earlier, simultaneous searches conducted by the Vigilance found that Mohapatra was in possession of two buildings in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack along with two costly plots in the Twin Cities.

Apart from this, the Vigilance had also detected deposits of over Rs 2.86 crore, Rs 1.21 lakh, and 850 grams of gold during the raid.

Mohapatra has been arrested after he could not provide any satisfactory explanation regarding such recovery. He will be produced before the Court for possessing disproportionate assets.
