The Bureau of Immigration (BOI) has issued a look out circular against two persons in connection with a job fraud case registered by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Crime Branch.

The circular has been issued against- Bhiku Bisoi and Manikanandan- directors of M/s Kinney Infotech Pvt Ltd. Initially the case was registered by Bhanjanagar police which was subsequently taken over by the EOW.

It was alleged that the concerned firm had collected huge amounts of money from various job seekers through its office bearers. As per the allegations, the company had cheated job aspirants to the tune of more than Rs 1 crore.

Preliminary investigation reveals that both the directors of the company- Bhiku Bisoi, a native of Ganjam and Manikanandan of Chennai had set up its office in Bhanjanagar in 2021. Through several agents, the duo persuaded job seekers and promised them jobs.

It is alleged that the job aspirants deposited huge amount of money on the assurance to get suitable jobs. Subsequently, the two accused closed down their offices and fled away after misappropriating the money of the job aspirants. It is suspected that the both the accused are hiding in Malaysia, EOW said in a release.

“More than 100 duped investors have been identified who have been cheated of more than Rs 1 crore. The SDJM Bhanjanagar has issued non-bailable warrant against both the accused. Four office bearers engaged in unauthorised collection of public deposits have been arrested and produced before the court and they are still in judicial custody,” EOW added.
