Havildar found dead at 6th battalion barrack in Cuttack

Mystery shrouds the death of a Havildar whose body was found hanging inside the 6th battalion barrack at OMP square in Cuttack on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Trilochan Sethi.

Sethi’s body was found hanging from a towel inside the barrack. However, it is unclear whether it is a case of suicide or murder. ACP informed that the incident occurred when nobody was present in the campus.

The deceased Havildar’s duty was scheduled for today and his body was recovered in the wee hours. Following the incident, the Havildar’s body was recovered and his family members were informed about the incident.

Commandant said, “The exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained.” Meanwhile, things are likely to get clear after the investigation progresses in connection with the incident.
