Harley-Davidson, Ducati Bikes, Buildings & Plots Of Bhubaneswar Asst Ex Engg Unearthed By Odisha Vigilance

The Odisha Vigilance on Monday carried out simultaneous raids on the premises linked to Ajaya Kumar Mishra, an Assistant Executive Engineer with the Roads & Building (R&B) Division No-IV of Bhubaneswar following information that the government official owns properties and assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Separate Vigilance teams led by 5 DSPs, 11 Inspectors and other staff conducted searches at six places, including Khordha, Dhenkanal and Angul districts. The raids (and searches) were carried out on the basis of the search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance in Dhenkanal.

As per reports, the anti-graft officials searched Mishra’s rented accommodation located at Block no-B/202 in Sai Garden Apartment in Shree Vihar area of Patia, triple storey building In Raghunathpur area of Nandankanan and office room in the office of Executive Engineer (EE), R&B Division no-IV at Nirman Soudh in the Capital City.

In Dhenkanal, the Odisha Vigilance also raided Mishra’s triple storey and a single-story buildings at Tarini Nagar. Similar searches were conducted at Mishra’s paternal house at Kakudi village under Talcher Police Station Limits in Angul district, added reports.

During the searches, the Vigilance sleuths have so far unearthed Rs 84,500 cash, a Hundai I 10 car worth Rs 8 lakh, luxurious motorcycles including two Harley Davidson worth Rs 7 lakh and another Rs 5.4 lakh and Ducati worth Rs 8 lakh, two scooters worth Rs 70,000 and Rs 55,000.

However, the total worth of the movable and immovable properties recovered from Mishra’s possession will be knows after the raids are over, Vigilance sources said.

Details of the assets unearthed from the raids:

1. 1 new triple storey building over the plot No.343/4605 at mouza Raghunathpur, PS-Nandankanan, Bhubaneswar, recently constructed having area 3600 Sqft.
2. 1 triple storeyed building over the plot 130/99, Khata No.51/13 at mouza Alasua (Tarini Nagar), PS- Dhenkanal Sadar, Dist-Dhenkanal having area 4500 Sqft.
3. 1 single storeyed building over the plot 126/200 and 130/99, Khata No.51/13 at mouza Alasua (Tarini Nagar), Ps-Dhenkanal Sadar, Dist-Dhenkanal having area 1500 Sqft.
4. 1 plot at mouza Karadakanta, Bhubaneswar vide plot No.22/2317, Khata No.459/1925 measuring area A0.04 dec in the name of his son Sri Avinash Mishra.
5. 1 plot at Mouza Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar vide plot No.343/4605, Khata No.511/4057 measuring area A0.0340 dec in the name of his wife Subhashri Mishra. 
6. 1 plot at mouza Samal, Ps-Bhuban, Dist-Dhenkanal vide plot No.1017/2148, Khata No.235/359 measuring area A0.03 dec in the name of Ajaya Mishra. 
7. 1 plot at mouza Samal, Ps-Bhuban, Dist-Dhenkanal vide plot No.1020/2149, Khata No.235/359 measuring area A0.07 dec in the name of Ajaya Mishra.
