“The fake certificate racket is a big case. It was going on for many years,” he added.

Notably, of the four arrested, two key accused have been identified as Manoj Mishra and his associate Alok Udgata.

After their arrest, the Crime Branch had taken the accused in remand. After completion of the remand period today, they were sent to jail.

On the other hand, the fake certificate racket also reared its ugly head in Sambalpur. The matter came to the fore after the Sambalpur division postal superintendent lodged complaints against six postal job aspirants at the Sambalpur Town Police Station. Most importantly, all of them had allegedly procured certificates from Uttar Pradesh.
