Fake admission racket: 20 aspirants duped to the tune of over Rs 20 lakh

Earlier, two persons Abhinandan Barik and Rajesh Roshan Sahu were arrested in connection with the case. Police sources said that Abhinandan was the mastermind of the crime syndicate.

More skeletons are tumbling out of the closet of the mega fake admission racket which was recently busted in Bhubaneswar. Around 13 students were allegedly duped to the tune of around Rs 20 lakh in the fraud.

As many as 10 more students have now lodged their grievances on social media that they have been victims of the fraud which was committed on the pretext of providing admission in renowned universities under the NRI quota.

Earlier, two persons Abhinandan Barik and Rajesh Roshan Sahu were arrested in connection with the case. Police sources said that Abhinandan was the mastermind of the crime syndicate.

From the interrogation of both the accused during the remand period, Police have reportedly extracted key information. The accused duped aspirants by setting up a company in the name of DF Academy.
