In a shocking incident, a man reportedly killed his live-in partner, chopped her body into 35 pieces and disposed of the parts across Delhi in 18 days. The incident has been reported from the Capital city of New Delhi. The matter came to the fore after Delhi Police arrested the man.

The accused has been identified as Aftab Ameen Poonawalla, boyfriend of the deceased, Shraddha.

According to Delhi police, Aftab Ameen Poonawalla and Shraddha were in love. The couple was in a live-in relationship. However, Aftab strangled Shraddha to death after they had a fight on May 18.

Subsequently, he chopped her body into 35 pieces and bought a fridge to keep the body parts. Later, over the next 18 days, he disposed of the body parts at various locations around Delhi at around 2 am.

If reports are to be believed, 26-year-old Shraddha was working at the call centre of a multinational company in Mumbai when he met Poonawalla. The two started dating and moved in together. After her family did not approve of their relationship, the couple eloped and came to Delhi. They were living in a flat in Mehrauli.

Soon after, Shraddha stopped responding to her family's phone calls. On November 8, her father Vikas Madaan came to Delhi to check on his daughter. When he reached the flat, it was locked. He approached the Mehrauli Police and filed a complaint alleging kidnapping.

On the basis of his complaint, police arrested Poonawalla on Saturday. During the investigation, he revealed that the two were having frequent fights as Shraddha wanted to marry him. He also confessed to killing and disposing of the body of Shraddha.

The police have filed a case of murder and are searching for Shraddha's body.
