DA Case: Vigilance raids Banki Dampada block assistant engineer’s properties 

The Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at four places including the house of Banki Dampada block assistant engineer Prabhat Rout on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to reports, simultaneous searches are being conducted in Cuttack and Kendrapara by teams of the anti-corruption agency led by four DSPs, 10 Inspectors and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Vigilance Judge, Cuttack.

Searches are underway at Rout's triple-storey building at Kunheipada in Cuttack, his brother Arun Kumar Rout's house in Choudwar, house at his native village in Kendrapara and office in Dampada.

While the detailed valuation of the property will be done later, the Vigilance teams are said to have already laid their hands on many crucial documents related to the property of Rout.
