DA Case: Sundargarh ADM Under Vigilance Scanner
Odisha Vigilance officials conducted simultaneous raids on the houses and properties associated with Additional District Magistrate of Sundargarh Biswajit Mohapatra, over the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets.
Separate teams of Vigilance officials comprising of eight DSPs, two Inspectors, five ASIs, and other staff are conducting search operations at various places based on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
The search operations are currently underway at Mohapatra's residential house located at Rudrapur, Balianta, flat located at Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar, house at native village Redhua, relatives’ house at Jadatira in Jagatsinghpur, official residence located at Sundargarh town, Official chamber located at Collectorate Sundargarh and residential accommodation of relative located at OCL campus in Rajgangpur.
As per reports, the raids are likely to continue to detect all the movable and immovable assets of Mohapatra. Vigilance sleuths are currently checking all the documents of Mohapatra.
Earlier on Wednesday, Vigilance sleuths had arrested Manoranjan Nayak, posted as an Assistant Collector at Rourkela in Sundargarh district, for allegedly amassing disproportionate assets worth Rs 2 crore.
The anti-corruption sleuths, comprising officials from Rourkela, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Deogarh had conducted raids at five places owned by Nayak.
