The notorious gang by the name ‘Koi Bhai Nahi’ (KBN), which came to limelight recently for displaying apparent terror on the streets through some viral videos on social media platforms, has as many as 30 members, said Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) on Sunday.

DCP Umashankar Dash said while five members of the group have been taken on remand and their marathon interrogation is underway, other members will be arrested soon based on the inputs obtained from the arrested accused.

"There are 30 members in the group and so we cannot term it a 'gang'. They usually hang out at tea or paan stall at different places in the night. More arrests of the members of the group will be made soon. This apart, the mastermind of the gang Bubu Jena is on police radar," Dash said.

“The link of a video of continous firing or burst firing with the KBN gang has not been established yet. We are yet to ascertain whether the video is from Bhubaneswar or outside,” Dash added.

The DCP further said the investigation is also underway to establish who had shot the video of the gang brandishing weapons in the public.

“Swords and toy guns have been seized and we have information that some more weapons are in possession of the group. The group members were creating fear by brandishing toy guns. We will take action in this regard,” Dash said.

Earlier, Bhubaneswar DCP had said that seven members of the gang have been arrested and raids carried out to seize the weapons displayed by the gang.
