Country-gun making unit busted in Boudh

Boudh police unearthed an illegal country-made gun manufacturing unit at Sileipada village under Manmunda police limits late on Monday night and arrested one person in this connection.

The arrested person has been identified as Shesadeb Bindhani.

Acting on a tip-off, the police raided a house in the village and arrested Bindhani where he was manufacturing the guns.

Besides, the police have also seized two pistols, four country-made guns and other explosive materials from his possession.

Meanwhile, Manamunda police has launched an investigation into the matter to extract more information regarding the gun manufacturing and other people involved in the illegal practice.
