Class 7 student ‘murdered’ by friends after tiff over mobile phone game in Odisha

A Class VII student was allegedly murdered by two of his friends following a dispute over mobile phone game under Town Police limits in Koraput district. The shocking incident was reported on Thursday.

As per initial reports, all the three minors were playing a game on mobile phone near the village school yesterday. The deceased was allegedly attacked by two of his friends after he didn't allow them allow them to play the game.

It is alleged that the deceased was bludgeoned to death with a stone. They disposed the body in an isolated place near Kolab river embankment. The body was recovered this morning.

Additional SP, Utkal Keshari Das said, “A case was registered based on the FIR lodged by the deceased’s father. As the deceased belonged to ST category, relevant sections as as per atrocity act have been registered.”

Das said that all the minors were playing near the school and there was a dispute between them. Later two of them attacked the deceased 12-year boy with the help of a stone.
