Burglary at retired Judge's house in Bhubaneswar
Once again throwing a challenge to the Commissionerate Police, miscreants have allegedly decamped with valuables from a bungalow in Bhubaneswar. This time miscreants have targeted the residential complex belonging to a retired Judge at Lingaraj Vihar under Airfield police limits.
As per initial reports, unidentified robbers have decamped with Rs 12,000 cash, and one gold and silver idol from the house of a tenant who was staying in the residential complex of the retired Judge.
Sources said the retired Judge is out of India and the miscreants targeted his tenant who was staying in the same complex on the ground floor. The tenant reportedly works at Bhubaneswar airport.
It was around 10 pm on Thursday when the tenant returned, he came to know about the burglary. Surprisingly, the robbers also tried to gain access to the retired Judge’s room on the first floor. However, they were not successful in their attempts. A bunch of keys was recovered from outside the window.
Meanwhile, police have started an investigation into the incident. However, this incident has once again raised questions on the security measures as a series of robbery and burglary incidents were reported from several residential areas including apartments in Bhubaneswar in the recent past.
