Brawl after misbehaviour with girl inside bar in Bhubaneswar, 10 arrested

The Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police on Tuesday arrested 10 persons in connection with a clash inside a bar under Chandrasekharpur police limits area.

As per sources, a clash was reported between two groups including the staff of a bar, and friends of a girl, who was allegedly misbehaved with inside the bar. The incident was reported on June 11.

As per initial reports, the girl along with two of her friends had gone to the bar when she was allegedly misbehaved with by a staff of the bar. Later, the girl called up her local friend who arrived at the spot with some of his friends. The said friend and his associates then thrashed the staff of the bar. Subsequently, to take revenge, some staff of the bar retaliated and attacked the group.

“I had gone to the club at Chandrasekharpur along with two of my roommates. I called up one of my local friends after two persons started misbehaving with us. I and my roommate were also beaten up by the staff,” said the complainant.

The complainant further informed that she had called her friend for protection but he was brutally thrashed.

Police said “The complainant was misbehaved with and she had then called up her friend for help. The male friend along with his associates rushed to the spot and beat up a staff. The staff, who was beaten up, later called his friends and attacked the male friend of the complainant.”

The senior police official further said that 10 persons involved in the brawl from both sides have been arrested and further investigation in this connection is underway.
