The Commissionerate Police on Tuesday arrested four more accused for their alleged involvement in the stabbing of some students of Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar (BJB) Autonomous College in Bhubaneswar recently. With this, the total number of arrests made in the case has now reached eight.

Earlier, three students of BJB Autonomous College in Bhubaneswar suffered severe injuries after being attacked by some miscreants following an argument over playing cricket on the college playground on Saturday.

Following the attack, all three injured students were shifted to a hospital for treatment. Later carrying out the probe, the Badagada Police had earlier arrested four accused who belonged to Kedarpalli and Mahisakhala area.

Police have seized stumps, bat, knife and two bikes from the possession of the arrested accused. Senior officials said that efforts are also on to nab other accused as 20 persons were reportedly involved in the incident.
