Bizman found dead with slit throat on Bhubaneswar outskirts, murder suspected

A young businessman was found dead with his throat slit on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. The deceased has been identified as Biswajit Nayak of Sagua village under Balianta police limits. Unidentified miscreants might have killed him by slitting his throat using a sharp-edged weapon, police officials suspect.

According to sources, Biswajit used to run a hotel in the area. While his family members had gone out for some work, he was alone at his house when the incident occurred. It is suspected that the miscreants barged into his house and slit his throat, leading to his death. However, the exact reason for the brutal murder is yet to be ascertained.

On being informed, local police rushed to the village and launched a probe. The family members and villagers are being interrogated in connection with the incident. A forensic team reached the village for investigation.

“I don’t think any outsider is involved. I think it is between the family members, but nothing can be ascertained now. Everyone is under suspicion now,” a local said.

If reports are to be believed, a woman was also living with him while his mother has been to Puri. A probe is on to ascertain the involvement of the woman in the incident.
