Woman, minor daughter raped by domestic help in Bhubaneswar

In a shocking incident, a woman and her minor daughter were allegedly raped by their domestic help in Badagada area, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. The accused, who worked in their house, secretly filmed the mother-daughter duo and took private pictures.

The accused then blackmailed them using the private videos and pictures and raped them. Threatening to circulate the videos online, the accused continued to rape the mother-daughter on multiple occasions. The matter came to the fore after they mustered courage and lodged a complaint with the police in this connection.

The accused has been identified as Saroj Kumar Behera. Based on the complaint, police arrested the accused, who reportedly confessed to his crime during interrogation. Police said the accused has several cases against his name in the Jajpur area.

The incident has spread shockwaves in the State Capital. Police said they are conducting a further investigation.
