Bhubaneswar Shame! 'Miscreants rob flat, rape woman occupant;' probe launched

In a shocking incident, two unidentified miscreants allegedly robbed a flat and raped a woman finding her alone inside the flat in an apartment in Maitri Vihar police limits in Bhubaneswar. 

The incident occurred late on Sunday night. The incident came to the fore after the victim lodged a complaint at Maitri Vihar Police Station. Acting on the complaint, the police along with a team of the special squad have launched a probe and manhunt to nab the culprits.

As per reports, the victim along with a two-year-old girl moved into the flat ten days ago. She is working in a nearby hospital. Late on Sunday night, two miscreants reportedly entered the flat with the help of bamboo poles. Before leaving the flat with the valuables, the miscreants found the woman alone and allegedly raped her. 

As per reports, the victim took time to lodge a complaint at Maitri Vihar Police Station because she was reportedly shocked and in fear. 

No comments were received from the police in this regard.
