Days after the arrest of a lady on charges of shooting obscene videos of influential pesons and blackmailing them in Bhubaneswar, more sensational revelations are making the case murkier with each passing day.
On Sunday, OTV managed to get a series of WhatsApp chats between the lady blackmailer and another girl. In the chats, the lady seems to be engrossed in a serious discussion to appease and motivate the girl.
A few lines from the chat reveal the girl saying: I agreed to their proposal after they assured to pay a hefty sum, but now backtracking will be a threat to life.
Even though it is not clear as to what and who exactly the girl is suggesting about, the lady blackmailer asked question to the girl: Have you given them the proof?
The lady blackmailer also promised the girl saying that she is ready to agree to her all demands and make her future bright.
The girl could also be seen saying about seeking help from a man to which the lady blackmailer asks for forgiveness from her and also requests her to trust the man for one more time.
On the other hand, the girl also messaged with a warning that she would not like anyone to enter her room without permission.

On the other hand, the surfacing of a photo of the lady’s husband with Odisha Cabinet Minister Jagannath Sarka has fuelled more speculations of their links with the ruling Biju Janata Dal.
When asked about the viral picture, minister Sarka replied that he does not know the lady and neither her husband Jagabandhu Chand.
“I don’t know the lady or the man and as far as I can remember I don’t remember talking or meeting with them in person. Someone might have clicked my picture with them,” clarified Sarka.
The lady blackmailer was also spotted with Sundargarh MP Jual Oram. However, the parliamentarian denied any links with the woman and said, "I have no idea. We are public servants. Several people click pictures with us. Recently, i had gone to attend 'Ravana Podi'. Likewise, i had attended many immersion celebrations. Many people including women take pictures and selfies with me. This doesn't mean we know them personally or have any business with them. This is just to defame me and other public personalities. This shouldn't be done."
"As, I'm a public figure, she might have clicked pictures with me. But, i do not know her personally. I don't also know her husband. I don't even know their name," he added.
In another photo which has gone viral on social media, the lady blackmailer along with her husband could be seen posing with senior BJD leader Surjya Narayan Patro and Manmath Routray, son of veteran Congress leader, Suresh Routray.
Meanwhile Routray has demanded police to bring all suspects under the purview of investigation.
Commenting on the development, the senior Congress leader said, “Only a detailed probe will reveal the involvement of leaders of political parties, IAS and IPS officers in the matter.”
On the other hand, BJP leader Babu Singh has alleged that at least 25 leaders and ministers of the ruling BJD had been to the lady blackmailers house. He further added that many biggies were involved in the case.
He questioned the silence of the police in the matter and demanded a thorough probe into the incident.
“People should know how she became a crorepati in such a short span of time. No pressure should be put on the cops during investigation so that people will know the actual truth,” Singh added.
However, neither Manmath Routray nor Surjya Patro has made any comments regarding the picture.
Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh addressing a press meet said, “A case was registered against Archana Nag on October 2 at Khandagiri police station. The case 496/22 has been registered against her under 387, 420 and 506 IT Act. Her modus operandi was she first very cunningly developed friendship with the victims. She then called them to her house and got intimate with them. She then recorded intimate videos through secret cameras and later blackmailed the victims, who of whom were from influential backgrounds.”
“A probe into the whole incident has already begun. We have also sent notice to her husband to appear before the police. A pen drive, laptop, bank passbooks have been seized from her house. The police are also looking into her bank details and transactions. All necessary details have been sought from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Efforts are also on to identify all the victims, who were blackmailed by the lady blackmailer,” the DCP added.
