The sleuths of Odisha vigilance on Wednesday raided the property of a junior clerk in Keonjhar district for allegedly accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. 

The raids have been carried out on the property of Gangadhar Sahoo, who is posted at the office of block education officer (BEO) at Baunspal.

Simultaneous house searches were conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by three DSPs, five inspectors, two ASIs and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Keonjhar Vigilance Special Judge. 

Sahoo’s residential government quarters at Jail Road Keonjhar, one triple storey building at Bhalukipatala, house of a relative at Sarasposi, his office room at BEO office and his paternal house at native village Talapada have been searched by the vigilance team.

The searches were underway till the filing of this report. Details of his alleged ill-gotten property are yet to be ascertained.
