Four miscreants looted Rs 20 lakh from a businessman hailing from West Bengal near the cattle market in Hattabadpada under Rural police limits of Rairangpur on Wednesday.

The trader was killed after sustaining injuries due to firing by the miscreants during the loot, said sources.

As per reports, six traders had come from West Bengal to the cattle market in Hattabadpada today morning. The miscreants targeted one of them having Rs 20 lakh cash with him. They opened fire at him and decamped with the money.

The deceased businessman has been identified as Sheikh Jamshed Ali, a resident from Bengal's Jhargram area. 

A police team from Rural police station reached the spot and launched a probe into the incident.
