4 arrested over Rs 124 Crore GST Evasion in Odisha

The Cyber crime-fighting division of Sambalpur Police on Sunday arrested 4 persons on charges of evading payment of around Rs 124 crores of Goods and Services Tax (GST).

During a press briefing today, Sambalpur SP B Gangadhar informed reporters that four persons were nabbed from Rourkela in connection with the tax evasion case.

Of the four accused, one is an assistant manager of Urban Cooperative Bank in Rourkela, and the other one is a senior clerk of the bank, said Gangadhar.
