Three students were rescued in an unconscious condition from Kantabanji railway station in Bolangir district on Wednesday. As per reports, five students were returning after appearing for the SSC examination in Sambalpur.

All the students reportedly had halted at Kantabanji railway station on Tuesday night. Sources said one person allegedly gave them some cold drinks after which the three of them fell unconscious. The condition of one student is said to be stable while another is absconding after the incident.

It is alleged that the mobile phones of all three unconscious students have been looted along with some cash.

"We had returned from Sambalpur after the examination. As we reached late at the station, we decided to stay back. All four students consumed the cold drink from an unknown person. Later, we realised that mobile phones and wallets of the three of us had been looted," said one of the students.

Meanwhile, the GRP officials could not be contacted over the matter.
