3 kg gold ornaments, Rs 2 lakh looted from Gunupur jeweler in broad daylight  

In a broad daylight robbery, two motorcycle-borne miscreants decamped with 3 kg gold ornaments and Rs 2 lakh in cash from a jeweler outside his shop in Gunupur of Rayagada district on Tuesday. 

The loot took place near Haladia canal in Gunupur. 

As per initial reports, the owner was opening the shop when the miscreants arrived on a bike and snatched the bag containing the gold ornaments and cash from him.

The shop owner lodged a complaint with the local police. A manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
