The Excise sleuths, who sniffed their trail, intercepting the tanker near Hindol in Dhenkal district before the gang leader could pull off any stunt like the superhit film’s protagonist, played by Icon stat Allu Arjun.

As per reports, the miscreants tried to smuggle thousands of litres of illegal foreign liquor by making hidden compartments in a water tanker having a registration number of Rajasthan state.

On Tuesday, the sleuths received a tip off about the smuggling and, with help from police personnel, apprehended the vehicle near Hindol. The illegal liquor was found hidden below a water chamber in the tanker.

persons, who were found in the vehicle, were immediately rounded up while an investigation has been launched to ascertain the source and destination of the illegal liquor.

It is worth mentioning here that in the recently released blockbuster movie ‘Pushpa,’ actor Allu Arjun played the role of a sandalwood smuggler who would conceal sandalwood logs in chambers carved out of tankers supplying milk in order to dodge surveillance by police and Forest officials. However, the real-life pull off of the movie plot proved dearer to the copy cats.
