A fast food joint owner was allegedly attacked by a gang miscreants at Chakeisiani area under Mancheswar police limits in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday night.

The victim has been identified as Jiban Jyoti Mohanty.

According to sources, a group of youth came to Mohanty's food stall last night and had an altercation with him while having food.

The fight took an ugly turn, when the youth allegedly attacked Mohanty with sword and other sharp weapons. Besides, the 

miscreants have also vandalised the shop before fleeing the spot, sources informed.

Meanwhile, Mohanty has alleged that one of the miscreants named Gudu is working with the Police Department as a Police Mitra.

“Gudu and his friends regularly come to my shop and eat for free. Whenever I ask them to pay, Gudu used to threaten me,” Mohanty alleged.

Mohanty has lodged a complaint at the Mancheswar Police Station and accused the police of being unfair by detaining his friends instead of the actual culprits.

The reaction of Mancheswar Police could not be obtained in this regard.
