Odisha on Friday continued to record over 1000 Covid-19 cases for the third consecutive day, reporting 1,178 new daily cases in the last 24 hours.  

With the fresh addition, the State’s Covid-19 tally has increased to 13,04,369.

As per the data shared by the Odisha government’s I &PR department, 146 cases have been detected in 0-18 year age group. 

Similarly, while 690 cases were reported from quarantine centres, 488 positives are local transmission cases.

Khordha reported a maximum of 252 fresh cases, followed by Sundargarh (194), Sambalpur (111), Cuttack (104), Mayurbhanj (97), Jajpur (34), Kalahandi (32), Bargarh (31), Nayagarh (30), Rayagada (23), Puri (20), Boudh (19), Balasore and Sonepur (18 each), Jharsuguda (17), Nuapara, Koraput, Kendrapara and Kandhamal (13 each), Keonjhar (12), Bolangir (11), Bhadrak and Deogarh (10 each), Nabarangpur (nine), Jagatsinghpur (eight),  Gajapati (four), Angul (three), Dhenkanal and Ganjam (one each). While the State pool registered 57 cases. 

The active caseload in the state stands at 7,245. 

At the same time, 1,026 patients recovered from the disease, taking the total recoveries to 12,87,941.
