The cumulative Covid-19 recovery tally in Odisha went up to 8,44,801 on Monday after 4,587 persons were declared free from the infection in the last 24 hours.

According to the data shared by the State Health and Family Welfare department, Khordha reported the maximum recoveries at 671 followed by Cuttack (440), Balasore (320), jajpur (313), Angul (244), Puri (241), Bhadrak (214), Dhenkanal (210), Mayurbhanj (210), Jagatsighpur (202) and Kendrapara (180).

Similarly, Sundargarh reported 155 recoveries followed by Nayagarh (139), Nabarangpur (122), Keonjhar (115), Malkangiri (73), Koraput (68), Kandhamal (60), Rayagada (60), Kalahandi (59), Bargarh (56), Bolangir (54), Boudh (52), Sambalpur (52), Gajapati (41), Sonepur (41),  Ganjam (33), Deogarh (29), Jharsuguda (20), Nuapada (15) and State Pool (98).

On the other hand, Odisha on Monday reported 3031 new Covid-19 infections and 43 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the State today kick started the mass Covid vaccination drive on a campaign mode under the National Covid Vaccination Programme from today. 

The State has set a target to inoculate 3 lakh beneficiaries above 18 years of age on a daily basis. It has been decided that the programme would be carried out with 50 per cent online slot booking and 50 % on-site registration.
