Odisha Covid-19 Tally Breaches 10 Lakh Mark; 116 In 0-18 Age Group Test Positive In Past 24 Hours

The Covid-19 tally in Odisha breached the 10 lakh mark after the State reported 911 new positive cases in the past 24 hours.

Of the total 911 new cases, 116 are in the age group of 0-18 years which has now emerged as a concern as there has been rise in the number of infections among the children in the State.

As per the I& PR department, 531 new Covid-19 cases were reported from quarantine while 380 are local contact cases.

Khordha district reported highest 352 Covid-19 cases, followed by Cuttack (88), Balasore (51), Jajpur (49), Mayurbhanj (38) and Kendrapara (31). With 911 new cases, the Covid-19 tally in Odisha reached 10,00,084 on Saturday. The Covid recoveries in the State now stands at 98,3245. The active case load in the State is 9497.
