New Delhi: Stepping up its offensive, India`s main opposition party BJP on Monday squarely blamed the Congress for the persisting logjam in Parliament on the FDI issue, saying the ruling party wants to avoid discussion on the "anti-people policy".

BJP said this is not the right time to bring FDI in retail in the country. "We have demanded discussion on the anti-people policy of the government as per the rule in the House and Congress is avoiding the discussion. The ruling party is avoiding Parliament," Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) spokesperson Prakash Javedkar told reporters outside Parliament House here.
