Woman dies, 8 injured as school bus meets with accident in Odisha’s Koraput 

A woman died and eight others were injured after the school bus they were travelling in met with an accident at Mantriamba ghat under Baipariguda Police limits in Koraput district on Tuesday. 

The deceased has been identified as Nilima Panda, wife of the principal of the private school. Luckily enough, there were no school students on the bus.

According to sources, after getting news of the school peon’s demise, as many as 23 school employees were going to the house of the deceased in the ill-fated school bus. While the driver was negotiating the ghat road at Mantriamba ghat, the driver lost control of the vehicle reportedly due to brake malfunction. 

The injured were admitted to Baipariguda Community Health Centre (CHC).
