One dead, five injured in road mishap in Odisha 

A person was killed and five others were injured after the auto-rickshaw they were travelling in had a head-on collision with a tractor at Giripali Chhak under Sasan Police limits in Sambalpur district on Tuesday. 

According to sources, six members of a family from Kusanpari village had gone to Sambalpur town to attend a family function. On their way home, the auto-rickshaw they were travelling in collided head-on with a tractor at Giripali Chhak.

On hearing the cries, local people rushed to the spot, rescued the injured ones, and rushed them to Sambalpur Sadar Hospital. 

The mishap triggered tension in the locality. Irate locals detained the driver of the tractor. On being informed, a team from Sasan Police Station reached the spot, recovered the body for post-mortem, and rescued the driver from the irate locals.
