A woman named Manjulata Bhanj from Alamuadia village in Kendrapara district went missing after being allegedly dragged by a crocodile in the Brahmani River.

Odisha woman goes missing in river after 'crocodile attack'

A woman was allegedly dragged by a crocodile in the Brahmani River at Alamuadia village under Pattamundai block of Kendrapara district on Monday.

The victim has been identified as Manjulata Bhanj of Alamuadia village. 

As per reports, Manjulata was washing utensils on the bank of the Brahmani River when she was reportedly attacked by the reptile and in no time got dragged into the river.

After finding Manjulata’s pair of slippers and utensils on the bank of the river, the villagers launched a search and rescue operation to trace the victim.
