At least three persons sustained injuries after a Location Accessible Multi-modal Initiative (LAccMI) bus in which they were travelling in lost control and overturned near Mahanapalli village under Kabisuryanagar police limits in Odisha's Ganjam district on Wednesday.

According to sources, the accident took place when the ill-fated bus with around 10 passengers on board was on its way to Kabisuryanagar in the district.

The driver of the bus reportedly lost control over the wheel and it turned turtle leaving three passengers injured, sources added.

The injured were rescued with the help of locals and were immediately rushed to Kabisuryanagar hospital.

Though the exact reason behind the mishap is not known yet, it is suspected that over speeding or low visibility due to fog might be the reason for the accident.

Earlier this week, another LAccMI bus met with an accident in Balasore district. The accident occurred near Fakir Mohan Square in the city.

Fortunately, no passengers were on board when the mishap took place. The bus reportedly met with an accident while travelling to the bus stand from a service center.

On November 2, the vehicle suddenly veered off course and hit the flyover walls following which it remained hanging by its sides for quite a long period of time.
