High tension gripped the area near Darlipali NTPC Power Plant in Odisha’s Sundargarh district after three bikers were reportedly crushed to death by a speeding truck on Friday. 

Irate locals blocked the Sundargarh-Darlipali road near the mishap spot, demanding immediate arrest of the truck driver.

The road blockade led to vehicular movements coming to a standstill near the Super Thermal Power Station at Darlipali.

According to sources, three youths were going on a bike when the speeding truck hit them, killing them on the spot. The incident spread outrage as all the youths were from the local area.

Further probe into the incident is on, reports said.

Worth mentioning Darlipali Super Thermal Power Station is a coal-based power plant of NTPC Limited in the district.
