(image) Bhubaneswar: Three were arrested in connection with the kidnap and murder of a seven-year-old boy in Rourkela on Sunday.
The accused have been identified as Gurubari Ekka, Anand Tandia and Gaji Sahu - the neighbours of the deceased boy.
The body of the boy, identified as Sibam was found in a septic tank on Sunday. Sibam, a resident of Tumkela Basti, Sector-16 in Rourkela, was abducted on May 16.
According to the family of the deceased, they had filed an FIR in Sector-15 police station in connection with the kidnap of Sibam. The kidnappers had called and demanded a ransom of Rs 2 lakh from them.
“We are further investigating the case,” a police official said.
