Kolkata: Fifty-nine per cent turnout was recorded in the first four hours of polling in 38 constituencies in Bankura, Purulia, West Midnapore and parts of Burdwan districts where the fifth phase of West Bengal Assembly polls is underway.

“The turnout so far is good. In the first four hours, voting has been recorded at 59 per cent,” the officials said, adding no untoward incident was recorded.
