(image) Bhubaneswar: One member of a highway robbery gang was injured in an encounter under Khandagiri police limits in Bhubaneswar.
The incident took place during the wee hours on Saturday, when the police chased the robbers and injured one member of the gang. The police nabbed two gang members while others managed to escape.
According to reports, the six to seven member gang involved in highway robbery was active in Chandikhol – Balugaon highway. They are also involved in more than 50 cases.
The police have begun their investigation and looking for the other members of the gang.
