"Nothing short of Gorkhaland is now acceptable for the morcha. No discussion on interim set-up anymore," Gurung told reporters after the GJM meeting at Kumani, on the border of Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts.
Gurung, who reiterated the demand for a CBI probe into the Sipchu police firing on February eight leading to the death of two persons, stated to be morcha supporters, alleged that the CPI-M conspired the violence for political gains.
Asking Gorkhas to cast "not a single vote for the killer CPI-M" in the next polls, Gurung said, "I am asking every Gorkha, you can vote any non-CPI-M political party, but do not vote for the Marxists."
Claiming the Adivasi Vikash Parishad in the Dooars belt was on their side, Gurung said, "Everybody can see how the tribals as well as the Gorkhas had been economically deprived by the Left Front in the 34 years of their rule in West Bengal.
"The CPI-M will not be able to create fissures among the GJM and Adivasi Vikash Parishad anymore."
Elaborating on the next phase of agitation, Gurung said the GJM will continue relay fast and padayatra in Dooars in the coming days.
"We are determined to hold the padayatra from Kumani to Sankosh and will continue to camp at Kumani till we are allowed to move on," he said.
"But our movement will remain peaceful," he said.
