Karimnagar(Andhra Pradesh): An MLC representing the teacher`s constituency here was manhandled by Telangana protestors during a meeting in Karimnagar town today. He was allegedly attacked by the agitators, as the MLC did not tender his resignation in support of the agitation, police said. The agitators have been demanding the public representatives to resign from their posts over the issue.
According to a senior police officer G Vijayakumar, the MLC B Mohan Reddy arrived at teachers` meeting `Teachers Maha Garjana` in Karimnagar, arranged by the Teachers Joint Action Committee. When the MLC entered the premises, a group of agitators followed him and raised slogans against him. Later, they pushed him from the dias. The police came to rescue him.
