Agartala: A joint team of Indian and Bangladeshi officials would arrive here in June to make a spot study of infrastructure for trade including Border Haat, state Industries and Commerce Minister Jiten Chowdhury said today. "In its five-day trip, the team would visit various Land Custom Stations (LCS) and the places selected for creating border haats," Chowdhury said.

Border haats are free trade zones where people from 10 km radius of border of both the countries can sell their products. He said, the state government had sent proposals to the central government for setting up border haats in seven places but the Centre has approved four of them.
