Bangalore: In a step closer to its induction into the Indian Air Force, the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) `Tejas`, India`s homegrown supersonic fighter jet, will get its Initial Operational Clearance here on Monday.

The LCA, which has remained under development for nearly three decades and braved technology denial regimes, will achieve the significant milestone in the presence of Defence Minister A K Antony and Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal P V Naik.
