New Delhi: The Delhi High Court today pulled up the AIIMS Medical Superintendent for "non-application of mind" for directing a trauma centre to issue a disability certificate in favour of a lawyer instead of his client who is a victim of last September`s blast and wants artificial limbs from government.

A bench of Acting Chief Justice A K Sikri and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw took serious note of the submission made by advocate Gaurav Bansal that the Medical Superintendent of AIIMS had recently issued a letter to JPNA Trauma Centre asking it to set up a board to issue disability certificate in his name instead of his client who has approached the court for direction to government to provide him artificial limb as one of his legs was amputated due to injuries in the blast near the High Court.
