65 pc voter turnout registered in 43 assembly seats till 5pm
A voter turnout of 64.86 per cent was recorded in the 43 assembly constituencies in Jharkhand where polling was held in the first phase on Wednesday, officials said.
Lohardaga district topped the list with 73.21 per cent polling while Hazaribag district recorded the lowest at 59.13, officials said and added that polling continued till 5 pm.
The poll percentage in other districts were Seraikela--Kharsawan (72.19), Gumla (69.01), Simdega (68.66), Khunti (68.36), Garhwa (67.35), Latehar (67.16), West Singhbhum (66.87) , Ramgarh (66.32), East Singhbhum (64.87), Chatra (63.26), Palamu (62.62), Koderma (62), Ranchi (60.49) and Hazaribag (59.13).

Jharkhand polls: 59.28 pc voter turnout registered in 43 assembly seats till 3 PM
A voter turnout of 59.28 per cent was recorded till 3 PM on Wednesday in 43 assembly constituencies in Jharkhand where voting is underway in the first phase, officials said.
Serailkela-Kharsawan district registered the highest voter turnout at 66.38 per cent, followed by Lohardaga (65.99 per cent), Gumla (64.59 per cent) and Simdega (64.31 per cent).
Khunti recorded 63.35 per cent voting, followed by Latehar (62.81 per cent), Garhwa (61.06 per cent) and West Singhbhum (60.35 per cent).
Ramgarh recorded 59.22 per cent polling, East Singhbhum (58.72 per cent), Chatra (58.23 per cent), Chatra (45.76 per cent) and Koderma (58.13 per cent).
Hazaribag recorded 57.16 per cent, Palamu (56.57 per cent), while Ranchi district saw the lowest 53.40 per cent turnout till 3 PM.

Jharkhand polls: 46.25 pc voter turnout recorded in 43 assembly seats till 1 PM
A voter turnout of 46.25 per cent was recorded till 1 PM on Wednesday in 43 assembly constituencies in Jharkhand where voting is underway in the first phase, officials said.
Gumla district registered the highest voter turnout at 52.11 per cent, followed by 51.53 per cent at Lohardaga, 51.37 per cent in Khunti and 50.71 per cent in Seraikela--Kharsawan district.
Simdega recorded 50.66 per cent voting, followed by 50.41 per cent in Latehar, 47.33 per cent in Koderma and 46.81 per cent in Ramgarh.
Garhwa recorded 46.75 per cent polling, West Singhbhum 46.41 per cent, Hazaribag 45.77 per cent, Chatra 45.76 per cent and East Singhbhum 44.88 per cent.
Palamu recorded 44 per cent, the second lowest voter turnout, while Ranchi district saw the lowest 40.98 per cent turnout till 1 PM.

CM Hemant Soren, other leaders cast votes in Jharkhand
Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, with wife Kalpana Soren, cast his vote at Saint Francis School in Ranchi, urging citizens to participate in the democratic process. When asked about BJPтАЩs infiltration claims, he deferred, saying he would address it later.┬а
BJP candidate Champai Soren voted in Saraikela, expressing confidence in an NDA win. Other leaders, including Union Minister Sanjay Seth and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Mahua Maji, also voted.┬а
As of 11 A.M., voter turnout was 29.31%, with Khunti district recording the highest at 34.12%. This phase covers 43 seats and 1.37 crore voters. The second phase will be held on November 20, with counting on November 23.

Jharkhand polls: Over 29 pc voter turnout recorded in 43 assembly seats till 11 AM
A voter turnout of 29.31 per cent was recorded in the first four hours of polling on Wednesday in 43 assembly constituencies in Jharkhand where voting is underway in the first phase, officials said.
Khunti district registered the highest voter turnout at 34.12 per cent, followed by 33.86 per cent in Gumla, 33.44 per cent in Lohardaga and 33.18 per cent in Simdega.
Serailkeala-Kharsawan recorded 32.65 per cent voting, followed by 31.10 per cent in Koderma, 30.59 per cent in Latehar and 30.38 per cent in Garhwa.
Hazaribag registered 29.60 per cent polling, Chatra 29.52 per cent, West Singhbhum 29.42 per cent, Palamu 29.36 per cent and East Sinbhum 28.34 per cent.
Of the remaining districts, Ranchi recorded 24.75 per cent voter turnout, the second lowest poll percentage, while neighbouring Ramgarh saw the lowest turnout of 24.17 per cent till 11 AM.

Vote to protect rights, strengthen Constitution: Rahul Gandhi to Jharkhand voters
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday urged the voters of Jharkhand to vote to strengthen the Constitution and democracy, and said every vote for the INDIA bloc will bring prosperity in their life through seven guarantees.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge urged people to vote to strengthen democracy and said they must think about forming a government that ensures the participation of all and not one that "divides, misleads and polarizes".
Their remarks came as polling began for 43 Assembly seats in Jharkhand, Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election and bypolls in 31 Assembly constituencies in 10 states.

Amit Shah urges people of Jharkhand to cast votes in record numbers
Union Home Minister Amit Shah appealed to those voting in the first phase of the Jharkhand Assembly polls on Wednesday to exercise their franchise in record numbers to end corruption, infiltration and appeasement in the state.
"I appeal to all the voters going to vote in the first phase of polling in Jharkhand to cast record votes for the creation of a Jharkhand which is free from corruption, infiltration and appeasement, and is developed," Shah wrote on X in Hindi.
