The Election Commission of India held a press conference today and announced the schedule for the General Election to the Legislative Assemblies of Maharashtra and Jharkhand 2024. ECI's announcement of the schedule for the Maharashtra Assembly election- term of which will end on November 26, and Jharkhand assembly poll- term of which will end on January 5, 2025, has once again raised the political temperature across the country.
While the election will be held in a single phase in Maharashtra on November 20, Jharkhand will undergo a two-phase election on November 13 and November 20. Meanwhile, the counting of votes will be held on November 20.

Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 13 and November 20. The result will be announced on November 23.
