After a nine-day long annual sojourn in Gundicha Temple, the Holy Trinity- Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and Lord Jagannath will return to their abode Srimandir in Puri today. The return journey is called Bahuda Yatra. ‘Bahuda’ in Odia means 'return'. A thick blanket of security cover has been spread over Puri to ensure smooth conduct of the Bahuda Yatra.
After the completion of the nine-day sojourn of Lord Jagannath and his sibling deities-elder brother Lord Balabhadra and sister Goddess Subhadra-from Srimandir to Gundicha temple, the Holy Trinity of Puri Srimandir are all set to give darshan to devotees in Rajarajeswar Besha popularly known as Suna Besha today.
All the tree chariots including Taladhwaja, Darpadalana and nandighosha with Lord Balabhadra, Goddess Subhadra and Lord Jagannath aboard, arrived at Singhadwar. Nandighosha arrived in the end following Taladhwaja and Darpadalana Chariots.
Following Taladhwaja, the Darpadalana Chariot carrying Goddess Subhadra reached Singhadwar too. Nandighosha Chariot with Lord Jagannath aboard will reach soon.
The Taladhwaja Chariot of Lord Balabhadra has reached Singhadwar. Darpadalana and Nandighosha chariots are following it and are expected to reach Singhadwar soon.
